Trevor James has been taking photographs for 44 years now. He started at the age of eight with a twin lens Russian 35mm camera given to him by his parents. His grandmother was housekeeper to Mr Harold Keeble, who was editor to a major tabloid newspaper. Whilst at Mr Keebles apartment, which was visited most school holidays, Trevor was introduced to Cecil Beaton, who told him about framing, light and technique. This meeting was to have a profound effect on Trevors photography, and where he wanted to take it on a personal level. Less than six months later Trevor was introduced to Patrick Litchfield and as a boy that was into photography, meeting these two giants of the photographic world was awe inspiring. In his twenties Trevor became a proffesional photographer in the Armed Forces.
During this period Trevor had work published in magazines and newspapers. Upon leaving the Armed Forces Trevor decided to keep up photography as a hobby. Concentrating on landscape and bird photography he has put together a comprehensive portfolio, including abstract, wildlife, birds, portrait, landscape and architecture.
